16 Days of Activism

In Orkney, every year between the 25^th of November and 10^th of December our Violence Against Women and Girls Partners host some beautiful displays in our community alongside some proactive sessions in a variety of community settings. This year saw the return of the “Peedie Birds” migration onto the Kirk Green with the St Magnus Cathedral illuminated in Orange.

The 16 days of activism campaign is an international campaign highlighting efforts in the Elimination of Violence Against Women. This is no small task and needs a collective effort by all of us. 

Finally thank you to our VAWG Partners for all the wonderful work you do in our community and colleagues who made the effort to visit the Kirk Green in solidarity with Women and Girls from around the world.
