Crimestoppers Over the World Cup Crimestoppers National Campaign 9th June – 20th July Did you know that during the World Cup Crimestoppers ran a campaign highlighting the far-reaching impact of domestic abuse across UK communities and to encourage individuals, particularly those reluctant or unable to come forward, to safely share information through anonymous reporting channels. They ask us to remember that “Big matches bring people together; but not every home is a safe place to celebrate” To support the campaign, Crimestoppers displayed a large sign in Central Station, Glasgow. In 2025/26, information given anonymously to Crimestoppers from the Scottish public about domestic abuse rose by 38% and drink/drug driving reports reached 4,500, up by 15%.
