The Orkney Drug and Alcohol Team (ODAT) are a are a team of clinical staff who are specialist in supporting and treating people with drug and/or alcohol problems.
ODAT conduct an initial face to face assessment and from there a worker will work with you to see what treatment would best help you. This may involve medication, talking therapies or both, If you have serious mental health problems we have access to further assessment by our consultant psychiatrist.
The ODAT team work from Vaenta where the Community Mental Health Team are based.
ODAT also have outreach clinics at GP surgeries. For patients who are too ill to leave the house we can pro-vide home visits.

Every Thursday 1:30pm-4:00pm support is available at the King Street Halls in Kirkwall. No appointment is needed and supports are available for:
A Support Group is available to Over 18s from 2:00pm to 4:00pm facilitated by the Drugs and Alcohol Team.

Healthcare professionals are unable to share a persons diagnosis and clinical information without that persons consent to do so. However they will want to hear what you say. Also if your relative consents you can attend appointments with them.
